About Metromile Stock
Metromile is a pay-per-mile auto insurance company in the U.S. Metromile aims to provide low-mileage drivers the ability to reduce their insurance bills. Through a wireless device, called Metromile Pulse, the Company has the ability to track the amount of miles a user drives, along with providing data to optimize how drivers use their car and on demand access to detailed vehicle diagnostics. Metromile additionally operates Ava, an automated assistant that uses car sensor data to verify insurance claims on the spot. Using data derived from Pulse, Ava reportedly reconstructs the scene of an accident to establish what happened and can automatically approve payments in a matter of seconds, according to the company.
The company was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
