Matterport is a property technology company that delivers an end-to-end system for creating, modifying, distributing, and navigating 3D and virtual reality (VR) versions of real-world spaces on the Web, mobile devices, and VR headsets. With the company's technology, Matterport aims to enable clients to create 3D models of homes, hotels and construction projects for virtual tours/inspections.
The Matterport Pro 3D Camera collects accurate visual and spatial data to map entire areas in minutes. From there, all the Matterport Spaces that users capture are processed, organized, and hosted in Matterport Cloud. Matterport Spaces allows users to view 3D models using its player, 3D Showcase. Advanced users can export the 3D data to other applications.
Matterport was founded in 2011, and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with additional offices in San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, and London and Singapore.
