Wag! is a mobile application used to find on-demand and certified dog walkers. When using the app, dog owners receive a push notification when the walk starts, followed by real-time GPS tracking of the walk. Once the walk is complete, dog owners will receive a report card with a photo, notes, the distance traveled, and a pee/poop report. The company claims that walker requests are usually filled within 30 minutes. The app also allows users to hire on-demand for dog sitting and dog boarding services. Wag! services are insured and bonded, and every walker and sitter has passed a thorough vetting process before being approved to work on the platform, according to the company. The startup initially launched in Los Angeles and New York City before expanding to 110 cities in 43 states across the country.

Wag! was founded by Jason Meltzer, Jonathan Viner and Joshua Viner in 2014 and is based in Los Angeles, CA. Notable investors in Wag! include the SoftBank Vision Fund, Battery Ventures, and General Catalyst.
