Headquartered in Vienna/Austria, kununu was founded by the brothers Martin and Mark Poreda. In 2008 TheMediaLab (a venture of the two publishing-companies: Madsack Verlag and WAZ Group) and 2 Business Angels invested an undisclosed sum in kununu. In 2013, XING AG - the leading business social network in the german speaking region - aquired 100% of kununu.
