The service allows users to create and maintain a curated page for self-expression. about.me pages offer features including bios, contact information and buttons that link to social network content, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WordPress, Instagram and more. Users can customize their profile with personal photos, custom backdrops, colors and fonts to further express their personality. Additional features including Collections, Replies, Compliments, Invite Friends, Search and more allow users to connect and further engage with others through the platform.
about.me was founded in 2010 by CEO Tony Conrad, CPO Ryan Freitas and Tim Young. In February 2013, about.me was bought back from AOL by founders Tony Conrad and Ryan Freitas along with the about.me management team.
